logo“SOCIETY FOR UPLIFTMENT OF KASHMIR” is purely non-political, non-religious and non-governmental organization. It is our mission to promote and ameliorate the overall condition of the people of Kashmir. The sole objective of our organization is  to empower and assist the needy and unreached people in terms of health care. This involves medical, dental, physiotherapy, audio-visual therapy and nutritional rehabilitation services.

Through these services, we not only want to reach helpless and downtrodden section of the society for their betterment and overall improved standard of life at a minimal or no cost, but to also create a sense or reassurance in them that they are also part and parcel of the community and their voice is also heard.

We also expect to organize programmes, which will help promote provision and recognition of the equal rights of the Disabled. Further for their benefit, programmes like vocational education, psychological and medical rehabilitation are also expected to be organized to make them feel like commoners enabling them to become self- reliant through independent mobility.

Undertaking sustained works for the upliftment of all sections of the society, especially the poor and the marginalized, without discrimination of caste, creed and sex will be the ultimate goal of organization.

  5. Disabilities are not always as obvious as a wheelchair. Too many people are suffering, within themselves and society as a whole. the stigmas still attached with ANY disability, physical or mental, in today’s world are disgusting. We are all people. Human beings with emotions as fragile as everyone else. If everyone could stop for one moment in time, and truly understand what it is to live with any kind of disability, maybe we could be kinder to one another. People of all ages, races, creed, color, and “social” status are afflicted. Let us all do what we can to bring awareness, equality, and love to our fellow people on this earth. Especially those in need of a little extra.
